The Signs & Systems Design award was presented to the National Lifeboat Institution for its national beach safety signs project. The award was collected by Mr. Steve Wills of RNLI and was presented by Mrs. Anne Boobis, director of Info Sign Systems.

The awards ceremony itself was the perfect showcase for some of the UK's best new design talent. The student award was presented to Frida Larios for the New Maya Glyphs Archaeological Site in El Salvador, and the Wayfinding Information Design award was presented to the CDT design for the Scottish Parliament.
