InfoLight
Major parts of the landfill directive implemented in July 2004 aim to reduce the number of landfill sites for disposing hazardous waste from 240 to 12. Fluorescent and neon tubes must now be recycled, increasing costs, as they cannot be disposed together with other waste materials. More importantly, as a single fluorescent tube contains enough mercury to pollute up to 30,000 litres of water, along with cadmium (a known carcinogen) and lead, it makes good sense to find alternative methods of illumination. InfoLight offers a real environmental alternative.
